Transform opened at West End Art Space, Melbourne in March 2018. It was a small selection of paintings that I had completed in Leipzig, or on my return from Germany. Whilst on this residency, I worked on subverting the tale of the fox and the goose. In my tale, the fox succumbs to the goose and through love changes his ways. This was my hope for the political climate in the world, that we could all learn to love in spite of our differences.

This was painted during a residency in Leipzig, Germany. I think for me a transition painting into using a lot more of my imagination and less reliant on reference material. This painting was also displayed in a small exhibition in an old transformer house (Trafo) at Die Spinnerei. The exhibition entitled Ozländer was part of the Lindenow Festival.

Painted from life in my studio, I collected a number of bits of fur in New York on a residency in 2015. I have used these pieces as reference material again and again.
